So the cycle is …
Meet boy, fall in love
Become insane
Lose track of self
Lose track of others
Obsess, love to distraction
Wait for first fight, first hurt
First indication
All is falling apart
Or the cycle is …
Romantic phase enters soul
Yearning for spontaneity
Free spirit, reckless abandon
Anything off the wall
Have a couple drinks
Fall in love
See Part I
And the next phase is
Become Lara in Doctor Zhivago
Louise Bryant in Reds
Bella in Twilight
And he moves into your house
Your life, your head, your heart
And you trust him
And you believe
This is forever
And he will hold you
And cherish you to the end of time
Or at least until Tuesday
But he doesn’t
He rampages the house
Abandons you in a variety of ways
Goes insane, becomes addicted
Immerses himself in his work
Or other women
Forgets the flowers, wine
Moonlit romantic dinners
He screams, forgets, damages
Hurts, leaves, he leaves….
And you survive
And become whole again
And remember who you are
And how valuable
Especially without him
And you thrive and flourish
And then
You do it all over again
