Well, here’s that lost sheep
What does the Bible say
“Rejoice; for I have found my sheep which was lost”
And “He rejoices more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray”
And we do it
Mothers and teachers
Social workers and probation officers
We look for the lost one
Leave all the rest behind
Fending for themselves
While we set off
To find the one that got away
(Maybe by choice – maybe not)
And we do it because
We know the Great Shepherd
Is out there
Looking for us
